Peter Escott
: You know him. Part quoll, part laugh-monger; part-time zine contributor, full-time Dad. He's played the traps, but he's played them just quaintly enough to not set them off. For this show, Mr. Escott will be playing 1P mode in his debut electronic beat-em-up set. “Insular,” he promises.

All Fires The Fires member Carl Higgs lovingly plays with synthesisers, making somewhat ambient electronic noise. Although he's often known to feature visual projections, this set will be totally aural: perhaps a little disco, maybe a touch improvised. Glitchy beats with stolen voiceovers and downcast singing.

Changing up the pace, Splash Mountain are a friendship bracelet toting foursome, featuring current members of Treehouse and Bears and a former member of Mess O' Reds. It's young white male guitar music, brash college pop/indie/rock/punk/emo/whatever. This is Splash Mountain's second ever show, and (hopefully) their first show to clock over 10 minutes long. Music! Youth!

Noise, Etc. Live is the extension of a small-time blog dedicated to presenting and promoting underground Hobart music. Because words and videos can only do so much, actually hosting live music shows is the obvious next step in supporting niche local music. Noise, Etc. Live aims to push the unseen talent of Hobart and surrounds; those artists who don't share their wares as often as they should, and any totally new or untested musical ventures.
